OnePlus 6T Specs and Leaked Review

Everyone is expecting the OnePlus 6 to be replaced by the OnePlus 6T later this year. And as OnePlus confirms the key feature, the release date might have just been revealed.
Speaking to CNet’s Lynn La, OnePlus has not only confirmed the next handset is coming, but also confirmed that the stand-out feature will be an in-display fingerprint reader:
"We unlock our phones multiple times a day, and Screen Unlock reduces the number of steps to complete the action," said OnePlus in an email to CNET. "By adding this feature as an addition to other display unlocking options such as Face Unlock, users will have options to unlock the display in a way that is most efficient for them."

Although not directly mentioned in the text, the assumption by all is that the next handset will follow the pattern of previous years and be called the OnePlus 6T, and I see no reason that this is going to change. It is, after all, listed on the leaked retail packaging.

As to the expected launch date, last year’s OnePlus 5T was announced on November 16th 2017 before going on sale five days later on the 21st, while the OnePlus 3T was announced on November 15th 2016. While it is still in the speculative, there are indications the 6T could arrive a month ear lie on October 16th. BGR’s Chris Mills:
The pre-emptive listing comes from Giztop, a Chinese e-commerce site linked to the blog GizmoChina. The listing says the OnePlus 6T will be priced at $569, available (whether for pre-orders or for live sales isn’t clear) on October 16th, and look exactly like what we’ve seen in all the leaks.
Given the retail box has leaked, it’s a fair guess that the specs on the side of the box are out there as well, which naturally match with this listing. And while it is a month earlier than the 5T and 3T dates, the OnePlus 6 was a month earlier than the OnePlus 5, so the timescale between the regular and the T models syncs up.

There’s common sense behind the October date, and I could see it working out well for OnePlus - six months after the OnePlus 6, manage the stock levels down, and reload with the 6T ahead of the Christmas sales.
